Emmanuel Bravo (Bs.As, Argentina, 1986) is a Hispanic DJ, producer and saxophonist. Although he has introduced himself using various alias in the past, he is best known for his work as Yabloko Moloko. His career as a Dj began in 2003 working at parties in Barcelona and quickly gained residence in a club from the same city, while also attending various clubs around Europe as a guest artist.
After 4 years of intense activity, he decided to take up residence in Argentina, where he devoted his time to producing his first studio album, “Boulevard”, released in 2011. During his stay he studied piano, saxophone, mixing and mastering, a continuance of his early studies at the Bellas Artes school and music Conservatory, both institutions located in La Plata.
In this context, and influenced by the electro swing current/mainstream -scene he knows from the very start by the hand from artists like Parov Stelar and Caravan Palace- Emmanuel sets the path for his music project by creating dance floors that explore diverse dance genres entwined with retro sounds stemming from jazz.
Some music lovers have claimed that Yabloko Moloko is “the perfect combination of electronic music with jazz melodies”, and the artist comments in a recent interview: “I keep on producing new songs and remixing the whole time, I really enjoy live performances and creating live sets that transmit fun and positive vibrations.”
Emmanuel Bravo is back in the game with his second studio album: Flush, already available in physical and digital format as well. This album enjoys a strong sound and combines different aspects of electronic music with glam retro. It comprises performances of guest artists like the poet and singer Paz Balpreda in the singles “Luvage” and “ Made In”, where mystery, sensuality, sex and love interlace poetically while bearing a critical eye.
Just as in “A Painful Choice”, where singer and writer Juan Otero a.k.a Jon Other unfolds a story where chaos, melodic dissonance, death and the decision to live take hold of a mind on the edge. It also mentions the collaboration of Andrés Borghi in charge of the audiovisual production. Flush counts with 10 singles that have Yabloko Moloko starring a musical concept which invites discovery and exploration.
Yabloko Moloko´s discographic material includes the albums Boulevard (2011), Flush (2019); the EPs The Old Store (2018), Little Swing (2018), Shadow Dancer (2018), Charleston Darkknight (2015) – one of them in Vinyl format – and the music videos in collaboration with artists, A Painful Choice feat. Jon Other (2016) and Made In feat. Suena con Paz (2019). The singles: Gangstas Business, Plastic Bop, Moonpark, Lunacy, La Bóvira, Knockout Swing, Black Samurai (2020).
